Mary Jeanne Stone, Esq.

Mary Jeanne Stone is a seasoned attorney with more than thirty-four years of experience in the areas of Family Law, Bankruptcy Law and Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR).

Attorney Stone represents clients in Divorce, Custody, Paternity and Parenting Time actions. Attorney Stone also represents clients in Guardianships and in Probate matters such as Probate of Estates and preparation of Wills. Attorney Stone serves as a Court-appointed Guardian Ad Litem.

Attorney Stone earned her Bachelor of Arts degree at Fairleigh Dickinson University (Madison) where she graduated magna cum laude in 1983. She received her Degree of Juris Doctor from New England School of Law in 1989. Attorney Stone was admitted to practice as an Attorney in Massachusetts in 1989 and was admitted to practice in the United States District Court (District of Massachusetts) in 1990.

Attorney Stone currently serves as a volunteer Conciliator for the Bristol County Probate and Family Court, she serves as a volunteer ARC Attorney (Attorneys representing Children). She has served as a Volunteer for the SCCLS Private Attorney Involvement Program and the Federal Court Pro Se Mediation Program.

Attorney Stone has devoted countless hours to Professional and Civic pursuits. She is currently a Member of the IOLTA Board, the IOLTA Grants Committee, the Board of the Massachusetts Legal Assistance Corporation, the Massachusetts Bar Foundation and the Bristol County Bar Association where she served as President (2014-2015).
