Overview
Attorney Tyler Tyack is an Associate at Cohen Cleary, P.C. in the firm’s Taunton office. Before joining the firm as an attorney, he worked as a Law Clerk while attending the University of Massachusetts School of Law, where he assisted attorneys and clients in matters involving healthcare law, fiduciary disputes, creditor-rights issues, and civil litigation. After being admitted to practice, Tyler transitioned into his role as an Associate Attorney and continues to work closely with the firm’s healthcare, litigation, and fiduciary practice groups.
Tyler represents healthcare providers, skilled nursing facilities, fiduciaries, creditors, businesses, and individuals throughout Massachusetts and Rhode Island in a wide variety of civil and administrative matters. His area of practice regularly involves healthcare reimbursement disputes, MassHealth eligibility and appeals, probate and fiduciary litigation, employment-related disputes, creditor-rights enforcement, and complex contested litigation.
His experience includes litigation and administrative proceedings involving MassHealth regulations and eligibility standards, claims arising under M.G.L. c. 109A involving fraudulent transfers, spousal liability claims under M.G.L. c. 209, § 1, trust-related claims under M.G.L. c. 190B, §§ 503E and 505, fiduciary disputes, contract disputes, wage-related claims, and constitutional claims involving substantive and procedural due process protections. Tyler also regularly handles post-judgment enforcement proceedings, including levy and sale actions, foreclosure-related enforcement matters, settlement negotiations, and contested guardianship appointments in Rhode Island. His practice includes representation of clients through multiple stages of litigation and administrative proceedings, including motion practice, contested hearings, discovery, and appellate-related briefing.
Tyler approaches disputes with a strategic and measured mindset, prioritizing resolution where possible while remaining prepared to vigorously advocate for his clients’ interests when proceedings become contested. He is known for maintaining professional and productive working relationships with clients, counsel, fiduciaries, and court personnel while effectively advancing his clients’ interests.
Tyler is admitted to practice in Massachusetts, Rhode Island, and the United States District Court for the District of Massachusetts. He currently serves on the Bristol County Bar Association as a Young Lawyer Representative.
Originally from Massachusetts’ North Shore, Tyler now lives on the South Coast and remains actively involved in the local legal community.
