Cohen Cleary, P.C. is currently seeking to fill both entry level and experienced legal assistant full time positions. The compensation for the position is competitive and will be commensurate with experience. Applicants with prior legal experience are preferred. We are willing to train candidates who do not have prior legal experience but who are intelligent, hardworking, and reliable. Candidates possessing these attributes and having prior experience as an office assistant, medical assistant, or customer service representative, are welcome to apply.

0 to 2 years. There is a preference towards candidates with prior legal experience but we are willing to train the right candidate.

Total Compensation:

The ideal candidate must be intelligent, well organized, and possess strong multitasking skills, legal research and writing skills, and a keen attention to detail. Cohen Cleary, P.C. has a growing, fast-paced, and diverse law practice. The firm concentrates on health care law, estate planning, probate and estate administration, discrimination law, employment law, personal injury, consumer protection, criminal law, family law, debt collection, and general civil litigation. The position requires a strong work ethic and strong written and oral advocacy skills. The firm is presently accepting applications for all areas of law. Education and Experience:

  • Admitted to practice law in Massachusetts.
  • Admission to the Federal District and Appellate Bars are a plus.
  • Admission to practice law in Rhode Island or other states would be a plus.

Physical Requirements:

  • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.

 

Required Experience:

7 or more years with trial experience.

Job Description:

The firm concentrates on health care law, estate planning, probate and estate administration, discrimination law, employment law, personal injury, consumer protection, criminal law, family law, debt collection, and general civil litigation. The position requires a strong work ethic and strong written and oral advocacy skills. The firm is presently accepting applications for all areas of law. Applicants with significant experience in only certain specific areas of law as well as applicants with diverse legal experience are both strongly encouraged to apply.
